Beautiful.

"You are beautiful."

I am beautiful.

I may not have the prettiest face.

My eyes may be poo colored and extremely big.

My skin might not be smooth.

My body might not have the perfect curves.

My nose may not be a cute button nose.

My teeth may be a little big.

I may not know how to dress right.

My makeup might be too thick,

or too light.

My hair may stick up in a few places.

But none of this matters,

because I am beautiful.

I don't try to be glamorous,

I don't want to look like the girls in the magazines.

I am comfortable in my own skin,

I don't need to be someone else's image of beauty,

I have my own.

Three little words changed me today.

"You are beautiful."

All of the conversations, 

all of the criticizing,

all of the judging,

all of the gossip,

all of the public eye's influence on me today just disappeared,

You know why?

Because I am beautiful, no matter what.

So to you, 

and you know who you are,

thank you.

Thank you for reminding me that I am beautiful.
